                  (Pre-requisite study; SatCBAed04 or with recognition of prior learning upon application)

                  This has been designed to offer Birth Workers (Doula’s) skills to assist families during the postnatal period.

                  Steps to successful breastfeeding support
                  Increasing milk supply
                  Breastfeeding after a c-section
                  Expressing and storing breast milk
                  Breast and nipple care
                  Antenatal preparation
                  Dealing with blocked ducts
                  Mastitis, prevention, signs and symptoms
                  Why is baby crying?
                  'The arsenic hour'
                  Gentle attachment parenting
                  Baby sleep cycles
                  Settling baby
                  Co-sleeping
                  Baby wearing

                  This workshop is run every 10 weeks on Wednesday evenings from 7pm - 9:30pm at Eastwood Leisure Centre, 18 Eastwood Street, Ballarat
