Many woman are interested in becoming a professional doula / childbirth attendant.
For many, it feels a very natural transition from their own personal journey into parenthood. Others simply find they have a calling to work with pregnant women during this special time in their lives.
You may have already assisted someone during their pregnancy and birth, and may be looking for some formal training, that will provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need to turn your passion into a career.
About the Doula Education Workshops
Our Doula Education Workshop is run over a total of ten sessions once per week, for two and a half hours per session.
Our workshop structure is designed to be interactive, hands on, relaxed and most importantly fun. It is our belief that if you are engaged by the material you are studying, you will more likely to innately use the learned skills in real life situations.
We also understand that a lot of our students will be returning to study for the first time in years. Our structure accommodates this by offering a non threatening learning environment.
Our past students believe our workshops are of the highest quality, and are the most comprehensive, and cost effective available.
Who will train me?
Our trainers have over 25 years combined experience in the birth services sector, as Childbirth educators and Doulas.
Our trainers are passionate and equipped to educate you in all aspects of pregnancy labour and birth.
How will I be assessed?
There will be one multiple choice exam at the end of the course, two book reviews, completion of your doula folder and a few small take home tasks.

Saturday mornings from 9am - 11:30am

How much does the workshop cost?
$600 (deposit of $200, and full payment prior to completion. Payment plans are available) workshop fee includes supper, and refreshments, CD Textbook, 12 months registration on the Ballarat Doula Register upon workshop completion.
